To earn a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies, students must complete at least 120 credit units, encompassing major coursework, General Education requirements, electives, and all university mandates. This interdisciplinary program offers comprehensive knowledge of Latin America through multiple academic lenses. Participants are highly recommended to study abroad for a semester in Latin America, Spain, or Portugal. Graduates should achieve fluency in Spanish or Portuguese, with incoming students advised to have at least three years of prior language study in one of these languages.
