The Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry program is designed for students seeking to combine chemistry studies with coursework in other disciplines. This degree path is ideal for pre-health professionals (medical, dental, etc.), future educators pursuing teaching credentials, and biochemistry students interested in biotechnology, forensic science, or healthcare fields. Note that this program is NOT recommended for those aiming for chemistry careers or planning to pursue graduate studies in the field.
Our Chemistry Department provides both an ACS-accredited Bachelor of Science degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree tailored for medical, dental, pharmaceutical, and related professions. As chemistry serves as a foundational science, we also offer essential undergraduate training for students in other scientific disciplines and those preparing for teaching careers.
Currently, we do not offer undergraduate degrees or certificates in Forensic Science. However, we provide guidance for undergraduate coursework to prepare for graduate programs and careers in this field.
