The School of Engineering provides bachelor's programs in Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Construction Management, along with master's programs in Engineering Management and Construction Management. It also offers specialized certificates in Quality Assurance, Project Management, Construction Planning and Control, and Construction Administration. A Master of Science in Construction Management is now available through the School of Engineering. This program is designed for industry professionals in managerial roles or those aiming to oversee major construction ventures.

The Construction Management MS program aims to develop skilled leaders for significant public and private sector projects, support workforce needs for infrastructure development, and empower engineers and professionals to take on key roles in the construction field.

Distinct from similar programs, this curriculum offers comprehensive training across all construction management disciplines. With flexible scheduling for working students, coursework includes essential topics like construction law, environmental considerations, modern technologies, project coordination, budgeting, financial strategies, and risk assessment. Additional focus areas include workplace safety practices and emerging industry developments. Students can also select from a wide array of electives in construction, engineering, business, or other approved graduate subjects.

Qualification Requirements

The M.S. in Construction Management is open to individuals planning a career or advancing their career in the construction industry, and who have:

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited university with a minimum overall GPA of 2.5 (4.0 basis) in their undergraduate work,
Relevant work or academic experience, and
College Algebra and Trigonometry or equivalent level math courses.
In addition to the University Graduate and Post-baccalaureate Application, all applicants should submit to the department:

Personal statement explaining their reasons for wanting to pursue the M.S. in Construction Management degree,
A resume detailing their professional and academic achievements, and
Two letters of recommendation.

English language demonstration is required for all applicants processed in International Admissions. We accept the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) iBT version or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Academic version of the exams.
