The Department of Public Administration provides a graduate program culminating in a Master of Public Administration degree, with specializations in public management/policy analysis (PMPA) and healthcare administration (HCA). This curriculum supports both full-time and part-time students in developing professional skills for leadership roles within public sector organizations, community college teaching positions, or further academic pursuits in doctoral programs. Evening classes (Monday-Thursday) and select Saturday sessions accommodate working professionals' schedules.

As an interdisciplinary field, Public Administration integrates knowledge from political science, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, psychology, economics, and urban/organizational studies. The Department emphasizes broadening the application of public administration principles across government entities, non-profits, and community groups. The MPA curriculum equips students with foundational theories about organizational behavior while developing practical policy skills essential for leadership in public and non-profit environments. This program enhances professional capabilities for individuals working across public, private, and non-profit sectors, specifically preparing them for leadership roles in mission-driven organizations focused on societal impact and public service. The program cultivates graduates' awareness of diverse human, social, and organizational dynamics to help public institutions define objectives and drive meaningful social progress.
