The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program requires completion of 120 credit units. The Pre-Licensure nursing track includes prerequisite courses, 21 units of core curriculum and electives, plus 50 specialized concentration units. Remaining credits fulfill general education and degree completion requirements. Applicants complete two years of prerequisites prior to entering the five-semester Pre-Licensure program, which combines classroom labs with clinical rotations at healthcare facilities. Clinical participation requires additional costs for uniforms, medical equipment, insurance coverage, and other essential supplies.
Our Nursing Department provides an undergraduate pathway to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with a Nursing major. Students may choose between two specialized tracks: Pre-Licensure or Post-Licensure. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to:
Integrate scientific, behavioral, and humanities knowledge with nursing theory to provide comprehensive patient care,
Deliver safe, empathetic healthcare services to diverse communities,
Apply analytical reasoning and effective communication when collaborating with patients and medical teams,
Assume full responsibility for planning, implementing, and assessing patient treatment plans,
Exhibit professional conduct in all interactions with patients, families, coworkers, and the public.
