Anthropology is an academic field that studies diverse global cultures, both historical and contemporary, with particular focus on non-Western societies. Using this understanding, anthropologists examine human biological and cultural adaptation across time and geography, and how these evolutionary processes influence modern populations.

CSUB's Anthropology Program prepares future professionals to develop global awareness and effectiveness. Through comprehensive knowledge, methodological instruction, and practical experience, our graduates gain essential competencies for success in today's interconnected, multicultural world.

Students can pursue either a B.A. degree or a minor in Anthropology at CSUB. Additional course details are available via the left-hand link.
