Our Master of Arts program in Academic Research enables undergraduate students to apply as juniors and earn their M.A. in just one additional year after completing their bachelor's degree. Participants can specialize in Neuroscience, Social and Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or Behavior Analysis. The Psychology Club welcomes all students with an interest in psychology and collaborates with Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology majors, which maintains an active chapter here. Our department fosters warm relationships among faculty, staff, and students. Every student receives guidance from a faculty advisor, with ample opportunities for office hours and informal interactions with professors. Our support team includes an Administrative Coordinator, Graduate Coordinator, and Test Librarian, with the department office operating year-round during standard business hours.
The Academic Research program provides a two-year Master's degree with specialization options in Behavior Analysis, Developmental Psychology, Neuroscience, or Social/Cognitive Psychology.
Neuroscience explores the biological foundations of behavior, especially the brain's influence on actions. This specialization offers comprehensive training in biological psychology and abundant research experiences, preparing graduates for doctoral programs in neuroscience and related fields.
