The study of political systems and institutions follows principles that can be methodically examined, as divine authority ultimately oversees the political realm. California Baptist University's political science bachelor's program aims to produce globally aware graduates who are academically proficient, biblically grounded, and prepared to serve across all sectors (public and private) and settings (local to international). CBU educates students through diverse methods: philosophical inquiry, statistical evaluation, practical simulations, and hands-on internships.
Program Outcomes
Graduates in political science will demonstrate comprehension of the principles and competencies required for active, ethical participation in democratic systems and meaningful community involvement.
Political science students will recognize the fundamental aspects of democratic systems and comprehend their philosophical, religious, cultural, and historical foundations.
Students will develop the ability to interpret, assess, and critically examine governmental and non-governmental approaches to addressing challenges at local, national, and global levels.
Graduates will articulate through written and verbal expression their spiritual journey, facilitating the harmony of faith and intellect, moral character formation, and dedication to serving both divine purpose and human society.
