The Master of Science degree enhances the core competencies gained during undergraduate studies, fostering advanced expertise. The MS curriculum immerses students in cutting-edge specialization areas, equipping them to tackle professional challenges at the forefront of their field. Two program tracks exist: Thesis and Project. A thesis aims to push boundaries in the field, whereas a project focuses on practical application of existing knowledge. Thesis outcomes typically merit journal or conference publication, while project results may not always meet publication standards. Thesis work earns 6 academic credits compared to 3 credits for projects. Thesis research often secures funding more readily than projects. Both require evaluation by a three-member faculty committee. Theses involve formal presentations to this committee, while projects are commonly shared in graduate seminars. Identical standards for written and oral presentation quality apply to both thesis and project work.
