The Master of Arts degree provides specialized tracks in Music Education and Musicology
MA in Music Education. Designed for individuals holding a bachelor's degree in Music Education, this program enables professional growth through advanced academic exploration. Students conclude their studies by submitting a thesis. The curriculum blends philosophical, research-driven, and theoretical perspectives on music pedagogy with practical strategies for enhancing music education. Prospective students must initially apply for the MM in Music Education program.
MA in Musicology. This curriculum equips future educators and researchers to foster musical comprehension and artistic appreciation. Participants contribute to scholarly discourse through historical and analytical publications that deepen knowledge of Western music's traditions, performance practices, social contexts, and artistic values (with some attention to non-Western traditions). This scholarly work aims to broaden recognition of cultural and historical diversity in musical performances and recordings.
