Plant & Landscape Systems focuses on creating and sustaining stunning outdoor and indoor spaces. This field surrounds us - in public parks, business and home landscapes, as well as interior plant displays found in retail centers, hospitality venues, workplaces, and private residences. Representing over $70 billion annually, this sector offers excellent professional prospects.
Our Plant & Landscape Systems curriculum holds accreditation from the National Association of Landscape Professionals. BYU provides one of the nation's premier landscape education programs, covering design, construction, maintenance, and interior plant applications. The program includes essential business coursework that culminates in a management minor, while students from other disciplines can pursue a Plant & Landscape Systems Minor.
Practical learning occurs through BYU's groundskeeping operations, internship placements, and student organizations. The program emphasizes professional connections, with students engaging with industry leaders at job expos and national conferences.
