The curriculum covers figure drawing, traditional and digital animation techniques, illustration, art history, and related subjects.
Admission to the Animation BFA program is competitive, requiring departmental approval. Prospective students must declare pre-major status and complete DESAN 101. Performance in this course determines advancement to pre-BFA Animation standing. Qualified candidates then finish foundational coursework before submitting a portfolio for June review to gain entry into the BFA program.
Only those with pre-BFA status may take foundational courses and later apply for the professional program via the June portfolio evaluation.
