The Health: Science, Society, and Policy (HSSP) program offers a multidisciplinary approach to studying wellness, illness, and healthcare interventions.
Pursuing either a BA, BS, or minor, you'll examine not just biological aspects of health but also how behavioral patterns, socioeconomic conditions, political decisions, and environmental influences interact. The curriculum covers healthcare systems and public health policy creation and execution. Practical experience is gained through mandatory internships or research projects. For aspiring healthcare professionals, HSSP provides excellent pre-med preparation.
This comprehensive health education opens doors to diverse career paths. Alumni have entered medicine, dentistry, nursing, social services, genetic counseling, biomedical research, legal fields, public health policy, health advocacy, and healthcare management.
