The Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a focus on Integrated Health Studies (IHS) provides a comprehensive, interdisciplinary path for students aiming for careers in health sciences. Supported collaboratively by the LAS Departments of Biological Sciences and Psychology, and based in Biological Sciences, this program benefits from partnerships across UIC's various departments and colleges, creating a distinctive academic offering. The curriculum is designed to cover essential topics across life sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, and humanities, addressing human health from genetic to societal levels.

Students can select from two specialized tracks: the Health and Science Concentration or the Behavioral Health Concentration.

The Health and Science Concentration prepares students for medical fields like Medicine, Physician Assistant roles, Pharmacy, and Dentistry, as well as areas such as epidemiology, microbiology, and pathology.
