The Master of Science in Biochemistry is a 31-credit program designed to advance your expertise for professional careers or PhD preparation. As a Bradley graduate student, you can select either a conventional two-year MS track or an accelerated five-year combined BS/MS option. You'll also have chances to broaden your knowledge and research capabilities through interdisciplinary coursework.
Chemistry and biochemistry hold distinctive positions in science. Chemistry earns its title as the central science by bridging physical sciences (like physics and materials science) with life sciences (such as biology and genetics) and applied fields (including engineering and medicine). While chemistry examines matter's fundamental properties, biochemistry applies chemical concepts to study biological systems. Both degrees open doors to diverse career paths ranging from agriculture and forensic science to healthcare and sustainable materials innovation.
