Drawing serves as a universal tool for expressing and understanding concepts. It allows architects, engineers, and researchers to depict intricate structures and tiny life forms visually. Additionally, drawing remains an irreplaceable artistic skill that lets creators convey perspectives beyond what photography can achieve.
As a studio art student, you immerse yourself in creativity through historical studies and diverse artistic disciplines. Alongside this foundational learning, practical drawing classes help refine your technique and nurture innovative thinking.
The drawing program offers three degree options: B.A., B.S., or B.F.A. The B.A. and B.S. focus on liberal arts education, whereas the B.F.A. represents the professional track. This studio-heavy degree allows concentrated exploration of your preferred medium. For expanded career possibilities, you can combine drawing with another major or minor.
Graduation may bring opportunities such as:
International study in cultural centers like London and Rome
Learning from industry leaders via the Visual Voices lecture program
Cross-disciplinary projects with campus and community partners
