The Art and Design Department provides an educational program tailored for students seeking a well-rounded arts education within a liberal arts framework. Budding artists enjoy ample avenues to showcase their creativity and secure career opportunities post-graduation. Learners can investigate various artistic disciplines to identify the specialization that aligns with their passions and abilities.
The Bachelor of Arts program structure caters to students pursuing: (1) a liberal arts education with an art focus, (2) in-depth art specialization, (3) groundwork for advanced art studies, (4) training for academic and professional careers, and/or (5) preparation for art teaching credentials.
All Art majors must complete the foundational lower and upper division coursework. Students then choose elective courses from one or more departmental concentrations to fulfill their BA requirements in their selected field. The program also offers extracurricular experiences to enhance professional competencies and improve employment prospects.
