Bradley's art education curriculum equips you for Illinois teaching certification in art at both elementary and secondary levels. This program combines a dual focus on Art and Design with Education.
Starting your first year, you'll engage in classroom observations, followed by progressively more involved field placements during sophomore and junior years. These experiences culminate in a senior-year student teaching assignment. Throughout your journey, you'll receive guidance from Bradley faculty and mentor teachers while completing your studio art degree requirements. The program holds accreditation from both the Illinois State Board of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, along with membership in the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. Additionally, our high school education track has earned recognition from leading national organizations including the National Council for the Social Studies, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Science Teachers Association, and National Council of Teachers of English.
