The physics education program equips you for the Illinois Professional Educator's License in Secondary Education with a physics specialization.
Starting your first year, you'll engage in classroom field experiences, followed by more advanced placements during sophomore and junior years. These progressively prepare you for your culminating student teaching experience in senior year. Throughout this journey, Bradley faculty and supervising teachers provide essential mentorship. You'll also collaborate closely with the physics department to build a strong scientific foundation.
Our teacher education program holds accreditation from both the Illinois State Board of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, along with membership in the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. The secondary education program has earned national recognition from leading organizations including the National Council for the Social Studies, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Science Teachers Association, and National Council of Teachers of English.
