Our mathematics education program equips you to earn the State of Illinois Professional Educator's License for High School (Secondary) Education with a mathematics specialization.
Starting in your first year, you'll engage in classroom field experiences, followed by more advanced placements during your sophomore and junior years. These progressive opportunities lead to a culminating student teaching experience in your senior year. Throughout this journey, you'll receive guidance from Bradley's faculty and experienced supervising teachers. Additionally, our mathematics department professors will provide you with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
The teacher education program holds accreditation from both the Illinois State Board of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, along with membership in the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. Our secondary education program has earned national recognition from prestigious organizations including the National Council for the Social Studies, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Science Teachers Association, and National Council of Teachers of English.
