The Bradley Social Work Program aims to equip students with a dedication to core Social Work principles including service, social justice, respect for individual dignity, the value of human connections, ethical practice, professional capability, human rights, and evidence-based research. It fosters the development of fundamental knowledge and practical abilities required for entry-level generalist social work practice. Additionally, the program creates an academic groundwork for those wishing to advance to graduate studies in social work or related human service fields. Students gain preparation for skilled generalist practice in an interconnected world, with emphasis on analytical reasoning and research methods to work effectively across various settings with diverse groups at all system levels (individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities).
This social work degree provides the educational and professional basis required for Illinois licensure. It also offers an accelerated route to obtaining a Master of Social Work degree and Licensed Clinical Social Worker certification.
