The mathematics education program equips you for the Illinois Professional Educator's License in Secondary Education with a mathematics specialization.
Your journey begins with classroom field experiences in freshman year, followed by expanded opportunities during sophomore and junior years. These progressively prepare you for the culminating student teaching experience in your senior year. Throughout this process, Bradley's faculty and supervising teachers serve as invaluable mentors. You'll also collaborate closely with mathematics department professors who build your analytical and problem-solving skills.
Our teacher education program holds accreditation from both the Illinois State Board of Education and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education, along with membership in the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. The secondary education program has earned national recognition from prestigious organizations including the National Council for the Social Studies, National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, National Science Teachers Association, and National Council of Teachers of English.
