The Bachelor of Arts program caters to students with a broad interest in mathematics, while Bachelor of Science options focus on applied mathematics and statistics. The department provides mathematics education courses for future elementary and secondary school educators. Program requirement details can be obtained from the mathematics department office. Undergraduate mathematics programs assume prior knowledge equivalent to two years of high school algebra, one year of plane geometry, and a minimum of one trigonometry semester. Students uncertain about meeting these requirements should seek guidance from the mathematics department. Deficiency courses include MATH 60, MATH 70, and MATH 199. Given the progressive structure of mathematics coursework, regular consultation with a departmental advisor is mandatory throughout degree programs. Courses numbered MATH 500 to MATH 599 cannot be applied as electives for mathematics majors or minors. Additionally, CR/NC grading isn't permitted for courses counting toward mathematics major or minor requirements.
