The Adolescence to Young Adult (Secondary) Education program offers licensure specializations in various disciplines: Integrated Mathematics, Integrated Social Studies, Integrated Language Arts, Integrated Science, Single Field Science (covering Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Physical Sciences with Chemistry or Physics options), and Dual Field Sciences (combining Physical Sciences like Chemistry/Physics, Earth Sciences with Chemistry/Physics, or Life Sciences paired with Chemistry/Physics/Earth Sciences).

Graduates of this bachelor's degree program in Secondary Education will achieve the following outcomes:

Qualification Requirements

For admission to Bowling Green State University, a freshman applicant must:
Be a graduate of a senior high school approved or accredited by the department of education of the state in which it is located, OR
Have earned high school equivalency through the General Educational Development (GED) testing program (issued by the state department of education), OR
Present GED test results and ACT or SAT test results, if the student completed secondary education through an alternative program such as home schooling, OR
Present an international baccalaureate diploma or certificate.
Admission is selective. In general, we require a high school record that includes four units each of English and mathematics, three units each of science and social studies, two units of a foreign language, and one unit of visual or performing arts.
An applicant is considered for admission on the basis of four criteria:

Cumulative grade point average
Official ACT or SAT results
Class rank
You've never attended college or all your college credits were earned prior to high school graduation (College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment)
