Modern art increasingly transcends conventional single-medium limitations. Reflecting this, the Studio Art Division equips students with versatile skills applicable across all artistic forms. Through specialized studio practice in ceramics, drawing, glasswork, jewelry/metals, painting, photography, printmaking, or sculpture, students gain perceptual, technical, and conceptual understanding. Building on this broad base, the Studio Art program promotes creative exploration and bold experimentation, enabling students to choose intermediate and advanced courses tailored to their personal artistic journey. The Studio Art degree offers both specialization in one medium or the flexibility to work across multiple disciplines.
Both the Bachelor of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Studio programs ready students for diverse professional paths in the arts. We firmly believe art is essential to thriving communities, and our graduates will become key contributors to this cultural vitality wherever their careers take them.
