The pre-pharmacy track offers motivated students a pathway to advance their studies in pharmaceutical sciences. Participants can opt to transition into a PharmD program while still qualifying for BGSU's Bachelor of Applied Health Science degree. This health science program equips graduates for careers in medical fields and prepares them for advanced postgraduate education. The AHS degree features six distinct concentrations, all sharing fundamental BG Perspective, core, and support course requirements while offering varied specialization classes. This comprehensive program delivers robust training in foundational sciences while fostering analytical reasoning and solution-oriented abilities.

Qualification Requirements
For admission to Bowling Green State University, a freshman applicant must:
Be a graduate of a senior high school approved or accredited by the department of education of the state in which it is located, OR
Have earned high school equivalency through the General Educational Development (GED) testing program (issued by the state department of education), OR
Present GED test results and ACT or SAT test results, if the student completed secondary education through an alternative program such as home schooling, OR
Present an international baccalaureate diploma or certificate.
Admission is selective. In general, we require a high school record that includes four units each of English and mathematics, three units each of science and social studies, two units of a foreign language, and one unit of visual or performing arts.
An applicant is considered for admission on the basis of four criteria:

Cumulative grade point average
Official ACT or SAT results
Class rank
You've never attended college or all your college credits were earned prior to high school graduation (College Credit Plus or dual-enrollment)
