This year-long program focuses on a scientific research project centered around clinical periodontology fundamentals. Under the guidance of a periodontal faculty research advisor, students will undertake this project while selecting complementary coursework with their mentor's support.
Program Objectives
Participants will:
Develop a publishable manuscript suitable for peer-reviewed journals.
Showcase research results at academic conferences (Science Day, Yankee Dental Conference, AADR, AAP).
Evaluate dental industry products regarding clinical effectiveness, commercial performance, and research applications.
Acquire the necessary academic foundation and lab experience to pursue a Doctor of Science in Dentistry degree if desired.
