Constitutional democracies rely on a conceptual grasp of legal principles and their implementation, which is central to the Law & Philosophy dual degree program at BU Law and BU's Philosophy Department. This collaborative initiative between the School of Law and the Philosophy Department enables students to integrate legal studies with philosophical inquiry. As outlined below, MA-eligible courses also count toward JD requirements. Consequently, students can complete both the JD and MA within the standard three-year law curriculum, rather than the four years needed if pursuing the degrees independently.
