This DScD program admits a select group of candidates and requires a minimum of three years to complete, on top of the time needed for the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) in Esthetic, Digital, and Operative Dentistry. Participants must fulfill all foundational science and clinical prerequisites for the CAGS curriculum. Additionally, scholars are expected to undertake significant research focused on esthetic, digital, and operative dimensions of restorative dentistry, typically in collaboration with the university's research faculty.
Program Objectives
Participants will develop expertise in material sciences, analytical methods, and research methodologies essential for evaluating material properties, processes, and innovating new solutions in craniofacial sciences.
Graduates will acquire the skills to evaluate existing literature critically and design novel experiments to tackle challenges in craniofacial health and therapies.
Students will master advanced analytical methods, including X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy, and chemical/surface analysis techniques.
Participants will learn to formulate detailed research proposals, execute experiments, and apply statistical methods to interpret findings effectively.
