The BA/MS program in Energy & Environment, administered by the Department of Earth & Environment, integrates upper-level undergraduate and graduate studies to equip students with core knowledge and sophisticated analytical abilities for careers in energy and environmental sectors. Graduates are prepared for roles in government agencies, consulting firms, and nonprofit organizations. This accelerated pathway allows high-achieving juniors and seniors to obtain both bachelor's and master's degrees in a streamlined curriculum.

Eligible students must be enrolled in either the Environmental Analysis & Policy (EAP) or Earth & Environmental Sciences (EES) majors. The Master of Science degree in Energy & Environment is conferred by the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (GRS).

Degrees are awarded concurrently. Students wishing to pursue an additional undergraduate major must submit a petition to GRS when applying to the BA/MS program. Graduate-level coursework (500+) requires a minimum grade of B to count toward degree requirements.
