Our two-year, full-time Master of Social Work program provides an intensive academic experience, hands-on field training, and the flexibility to tailor your degree through specialization options and additional certifications. Macro social work focuses on creating systemic change at community, organizational, and policy levels. At BCSSW, our macro specialization centers on leadership and social innovation, teaching students to develop creative solutions and new social frameworks that strengthen communities facing complex issues. The curriculum covers participatory community practice while incorporating modern methodologies like human-centered design and systems thinking to tackle social challenges and create lasting impact.
Through coursework and field placements, students develop practical expertise in advocacy, leadership, financial management, and innovative strategies to promote social transformation and benefit society.
