The Master of Arts in Middle Eastern Studies offers an interdisciplinary approach, ideal for students seeking comprehensive knowledge of the region's history, cultures, and political landscape. Participants can specialize in one of two key concentrations:
Middle Eastern politics and global affairs
Religious traditions, cultural practices, and social structures of the region
A distinctive advantage of this program lies in its wealth of academic resources. Graduate students enjoy substantial freedom in crafting their curriculum and can draw upon expertise from various university departments including fine arts, music, history, political science, and theology, along with access to Boston's vibrant scholarly community.
Students must have a bachelor's degree and undergraduate course work in calculus, physics, biochemistry, biology and chemistry, including organic chemistry. Applicants whose native language is not English must achieve a TOEFL score of 600 or better (paper-based test), or 250 or better in (computer-based test).
