Get ready for a career as a licensed mental health practitioner or advanced studies in psychology, counseling, or similar disciplines. Our socially conscious curriculum equips you to address mental health challenges across individuals, groups, communities, and systems while championing societal transformation. Over two years, you can opt for either a 60-credit licensure pathway or a 48-credit non-licensure curriculum, both including mandatory internships with our Boston-area partner organizations.
The 48-credit, two-year option provides foundational knowledge for advanced counseling studies or other fields benefiting from counseling expertise. Alumni frequently continue toward psychology doctorates or further education in public policy, law, and business. This track suits students not seeking LMHC licensure in Massachusetts or other states mandating 60-credit integrated master's programs.
Our 60-credit, two-year program fulfills Massachusetts' educational prerequisites for LMHC licensure. Graduates qualify for entry-level counseling roles and, with post-graduate supervision and experience, can pursue licensure and advanced specialization credentials.
