The Practical Nurse program equips students with essential knowledge and hands-on clinical training to pursue a career as a Practical Nurse. Upon completing the program, graduates qualify to take the NCLEX-PN licensing test, which must be passed to obtain Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification. Berkeley College's Practical Nurse curriculum fulfills New Jersey's educational criteria for licensure. However, licensure isn't guaranteed. Beyond passing the NCLEX-PN exam, the New Jersey Board of Nursing mandates that candidates demonstrate strong ethical character. Those seeking licensure in other states should research their specific requirements, as regulations differ across state lines.
