The Master of Music in Collaborative Piano program equally focuses on both vocal and instrumental accompaniment. Alongside ensemble coursework and ongoing coaching, participants receive individual instruction from faculty to enhance their technical and artistic skills. Baylor's collaborative piano students develop comprehensive abilities to meet diverse accompanying needs. The program features two ensemble recitals (vocal and instrumental), private lessons, repertoire sessions, diction training, and music theory/history classes. Practical experience is gained through various assignments across the School of Music. Qualified candidates may apply for graduate assistantships involving collaborative responsibilities.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelor's degree in music in the appropriate concentration, those who lack courses prerequisite to graduate study may make
up the undergraduate work provided it is at the 4000 level and appropriate to the degree program.
All students will take music theory and music history diagnostic exams, appropriate remedial course work may be required.
Audition with repertoire of at least senior recital level, repertoire list must be submitted at audition
