Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) applies behavioral science principles to create positive changes in people's lives. Baylor University's Master of Arts (MA) in Educational Psychology with an ABA Concentration focuses on teaching ABA intervention techniques to help individuals with disabilities acquire new abilities and manage challenging behaviors. The program equips students to assist diverse populations, including those with autism, Down syndrome, and intellectual disabilities. Beyond practical clinical training, students develop research skills in ABA. This MA program is particularly designed for those aiming for academic or research careers in ABA. Most graduates continue their education by pursuing doctoral degrees in psychology, education, or similar disciplines.
