The graduate-level American Studies program delivers interdisciplinary training focused on American cultural systems and institutional frameworks. Core coursework emphasizes American historical and literary studies.
Prospective graduate students should complete twenty-one semester hours across one or multiple of these disciplines: U.S. history, political science, media studies, literary analysis, philosophical inquiry, educational history, religious history in America, and
contemporary American social challenges. No foreign language proficiency is required. Admission requires GRE General Test results, with competitive GRE scores and undergraduate GPA being strongly advised for program success.
