The Department of Journalism, Public Relations and New Media trains students in various communication disciplines including writing, editing, photography, videography, and public relations. Students can choose from five specialized tracks, all sharing a foundational Journalism Core while focusing on distinct aspects of journalism. Annually, numerous students contribute to creating university newsletters and magazines. Additionally, they actively participate in the Baylor Lariat, the campus newspaper, and are urged to engage with all university publications to enhance their abilities and expand their professional portfolios.
