Our master's degree in sport and exercise psychology provides students with comprehensive training in this specialized field. The program equips graduates to become strong candidates for doctoral studies through hands-on research and practical experiences, following a scientist-practitioner model. Alumni have pursued diverse career paths including establishing private practices, serving military personnel, working in academic athletic advising, or practicing as therapists.
Collaborations with the Counseling Psychology and Psychological Sciences departments enable students to pursue dual degrees in clinical mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, or social/clinical psychology, or to complete minors in these disciplines. Additional academic options include coursework or minors in coaching, strength training, biomechanics, nutrition, or neuroscience.
You must have a bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association.
You must have earned a minimum of a 2.75 GPA from the undergraduate degree-granting institution.
