For professionals in local government or graduate students studying public service fields, Ball State University offers a valuable graduate certificate in public administration. This 12-credit program equips students with knowledge of public policy along with management and administrative fundamentals for the public sector. Earning this certificate prepares you for leadership and oversight roles in government agencies or nonprofit institutions. The program is available both on our Muncie, Indiana campus and through online summer courses. Students can complete the certificate in under two years by attending classes just one evening per week.
Students must have a bachelor’s degree from an institution recognized by a regional accrediting association.
Students must have earned a minimum of a 2.75 GPA from the undergraduate degree-granting institution.
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Submit your application by the following dates, depending on which semester you plan to start:
