Ball State's dietetics program offers a rigorous curriculum designed to help students complete the initial phase of the three-step journey to becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). RDNs work across over 40 specialized areas, including hospitals, public health facilities, senior living centers, athletic programs, educational institutions, and government agencies. The current job market strongly favors aspiring RDNs, with demand significantly outpacing national employment trends. This comprehensive major provides the foundational knowledge and skills needed to thrive in diverse nutrition-related careers.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
