The BFA program in design and technology delivers comprehensive training in the fundamental techniques and equipment needed to construct theatrical environments. Our theatre BFA concentration balances creative vision with practical craftsmanship equally. Your customized four-year journey will focus on your specific talents across scenic, lighting, costume, sound, and makeup disciplines while maintaining broad exposure to all production aspects. You'll push creative boundaries through innovative collaborations on diverse theatrical works, from dramas to musicals to dance performances. Regular portfolio evaluations each term will track your artistic development, ensuring you're career-ready upon completing your degree.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
