Ball State's journalism bachelor's program offers an immersive, practical education in multimedia storytelling across platforms like print, video, audio, digital graphics, social media, blogs, and applications. Since journalism thrives on real-world reporting and truth-seeking, our curriculum focuses on experiential learning through student media groups, professional organizations, and an operational newsroom lab. Graduates emerge ready to thrive in journalism's dynamic landscape. The program covers all fundamental aspects of the industry—including writing, photography, and design—while allowing specialization through four concentration options: journalism graphics, magazine media, news reporting, or photojournalism.
