Ball State's geology program readies students for professional opportunities in both private and public sectors, as well as advanced studies leading to research, academic, leadership, and diverse roles across industries, government, and higher education. Our undergraduate degree provides training for multiple career paths such as geoscientist, hydrogeologist, consulting professional, educator, academic researcher, geological engineer, natural resource coordinator, environmental specialist, oil and gas geologist, and geospatial mapping expert.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
