The undergraduate exercise science program equips you for starting roles in fitness and exercise careers, or for advanced studies in exercise science and related health fields. This program can also help you qualify for relevant professional certifications. Admission to the exercise science major requires successful completion of the pre-exercise science requirements. The coursework combines foundational classes in exercise science and physical education with supporting subjects like chemistry, biology, health science, and physiology. Furthermore, the program provides a strong foundation for pursuing advanced studies in medicine, physical therapy, physician assistant programs, or graduate-level exercise science. Full-time students typically complete the degree in four years, while part-time students may take longer. We recommend consulting with your academic advisor to discuss your course load and degree completion timeline.
