Among the most rapidly expanding professions in the United States, computer science positions you at the cutting edge of the dynamic and constantly changing tech landscape. As a Ball State computer science student, you'll first master core programming concepts, algorithmic principles, and discrete math before advancing to specialized areas like software development, programming theory, web and mobile application creation, system operations, computer networks, and data management systems. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared for numerous high-paying careers such as software architect, systems engineer, cybersecurity expert, IT analyst, and technology solutions manager.
Students should apply as a freshman undergraduate student if:
Students have completed or will complete high school or secondary school before the semester you apply to start
Students have not attended a university, college, or other postsecondary institution
Students wish to earn a bachelor’s degree
Required Scores to demonstrate English Proficiency: TOEFL iBT 79; IELTS 6.5 Band; Pearson's PTE 53
Dates and Deadlines - International Admissions must receive all your application materials by these dates for consideration for a specific term
Fall Term - application materials due by June 15th
Spring Term - application materials due by November 15th
Priority application date for fall enrollment: March 1; priority application date for spring enrollment: December 1.
