Our department investigates the core principles that shape the natural world, spanning from subatomic particles to nanotech devices and galactic dynamics. We then apply these principles to develop practical solutions that drive future innovations. As a physics and astronomy student, you'll engage in hands-on research alongside our dedicated, student-focused faculty. Educators specializing in science are among the most sought-after professionals. If you're passionate about both teaching and physics, Ball State's physics teaching program prepares you for success.
