The doctoral degree in electrical engineering is granted based on demonstrated research excellence, culminating in an original dissertation that advances the field.
Advanced studies and degree programs are available across six specialized disciplines:
control systems
power systems and energy engineering
electromagnetic fields, antenna design, and microwave technology
digital and analog integrated circuit development
photonics and semiconductor devices
communication systems and signal analysis
The Systems and Controls curriculum within the Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering School features nine advanced courses covering linear/nonlinear control theory, digital control implementation, optimization techniques, distributed systems, adaptive control methods, and neural network applications. These graduate-level courses supplement theoretical instruction with hands-on computational and laboratory projects.
