The meteorology-climatology specialization within the BS geography curriculum fulfills the qualifications for National Weather Service meteorologist certification. This program explores both dynamic and synoptic meteorology.
Participants develop specialized knowledge of weather systems, climate patterns, and associated measurement techniques and tools. Mandatory coursework encompasses atmospheric physics, practical weather prediction, three calculus courses, and two physics courses with calculus prerequisites.
