The Bachelor of Science in Dietetics serves as the foundational educational requirement for aspiring dietetics professionals. This comprehensive program integrates studies in anatomy, physiology, food science, chemistry, and nutrition to foster wellness and disease prevention via nutritional strategies.

The curriculum equips students to pursue dietetic internships, a prerequisite for taking the registration examination to become certified dietitians. Alongside nutrition-focused classes, the program includes diverse coursework in science, management, and communication skills applicable across multiple career paths.

Effective January 1, 2024, candidates must obtain a master's degree alongside completing their dietetic internship before qualifying for the registration exam. This new mandate, established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (the accrediting organization for dietitians), applies uniformly across the United States.
